Empowering Pakistan’s Nursing Educators to Deliver World-Class NCLEX-Aligned Education

Program Overview

PMCI’s Tutor Training Program is a transformative 1-year initiative (with an intensive 1-month launch phase) designed to upskill Government Nursing College Tutors across Pakistan. Led by NCLEX-certified Master Trainers from the USA, this program equips educators with cutting-edge pedagogy, assessment science, and clinical judgment frameworks to prepare students for global nursing success.

This program is a national capacity-building mission to align Pakistan’s nursing education with international standards and significantly improve NCLEX pass rates.

Phase 1: Intensive 1-Month Immersion:  

On-site mentorship while continuing classroom teaching

  • Focus on NCLEX Pedagogy & Active Teaching Methods
  • Convert lecture-based content into Socratic questioning & case-based learning
  • Design NCLEX-style MCQs, NGN items, and clinical scenarios
  • Use data to diagnose student weaknesses (item analysis, RBT mapping)
  • Facilitate simulation debriefs using CJMM framework
  • Weekly Specialized Workshops:
    • Teaching Pharmacology for Clinical Judgment
    • Ethics & Legal Scenarios That Make Students Think
    • Using NGN Items to Build Cognitive Flexibility
    • Feedback That Changes Performance — Not Just Scores
  • NCLEX-RN Exam at the end of Month 1 (PMCI covers registration & prep)
  • Successful Passers receive PMCI International Teaching Certificate and become Certified International Nursing Tutors (CINT)

Phase 2: 11-Month Sustained Coaching & Curriculum Integration

  • Quarterly in-person workshops & monthly virtual masterclasses
  • Peer observation & collaborative lesson planning
  • Co-development of NCLEX-Integrated Lesson Plans aligned with BSN syllabi
  • Access to PMCI’s 5,000+ Question Bank & NGN item templates
  • Performance Dashboard to track student outcomes (e.g., % scoring >75% on NCLEX quizzes)

Eligibility Criteria

  • Academic Qualification: BSN minimum; MSN/DNP/PhD preferred
  • Professional Credentials: RN license, NCLEX-RN/PN passed, 1–2+ years teaching/mentoring
  • Clinical & Pedagogical Skills: 2–3 years clinical experience, lesson planning, curriculum design, LMS & digital fluency
  • Preferred: Certified Nurse Educator (CNE), simulation/OSCE experience, publications in nursing education
